Legal Agreements between Apple, handsfree.ly and users of handsfree.ly products

User Agreement

Unless explicitly stated in the handsfree.ly FAQ, users are bound by the Apple End User License Agreement that can be found here. In addition to the standard Apple EULA, the user permits handsfree.ly iOS Applications to transmit and use the following user information:

User Email Address
User Telephone Number
User Name

Acceptable Use

handsfree.ly transmits the following information from user's iOS devices solely for the purpose of providing audio functionality to the user:

User telephone conversations and audio generated by the user
User telephone number so that the call recorder can call this number to commence recording
User email address so that multiple iOS devices can share the same monthly subscription plan for call recordings. This is also the email address where recordings (calls and audio) are delivered by default.
User name so that an appropriate subject header can be generated for recordings ("Audio recorded by UserName…")

Storage Policy

handsfree.ly stores call recordings on its servers for 3 months. After 3 months from the date of the recording, these will be deleted and you will hear a message stating the same.

Privacy Policy

handsfree.ly servers securely store user information solely for the purpose of associating audio data on the servers with valid handsfree.ly users. The user name, telephone number and email address are meant only to provide recording functionality to users. It will not be used to solicit any services or additional products from the users. It will also not be sold/transferred to any other service or company. It will not be used for any marketing purpose. The handsfree.ly privacy policy can also be found here.
